Welcome to the Transfer Center

The Transfer Center is a resource to help you identify your major, a career, and/or for selecting a transfer institution.  This website contains information on the services provided by the center and by the college to support your transfer.  Check the calendar regularly for college representative visits & workshops scheduled.

For more information, contact Center Coordinator Paula Coil at (510) 981-2811, or pcoil@peralta.edu

Transfer Center hours are generally 8am-5pm, M-F.  Lunch hour varies.

If you need to schedule an appointment, or cannot make it to the center during regular business hours, please contact Center Coordinator, Paula Coil.

Starting Point Mentor Program (SPMP) makes UCBerkeley more accessible to community college students.  Berkelely City College students are paired with UCB students who transfered from community college; SPMP allows students to ask about and experience the campus.

To apply to Starting Point, click on this link:  Starting Point Mentor Program Application

To contact Starting Point directly, call Eva Rivas, Director, UCB Transfer, Reentry & Student Parent Center - 510/643-5740 or email - erivas@berkeley.edu ( PUT ' BCC MENTOR PROGRAM' IN SUBJECT LINE).

Explore Your Major

Assist.org is a powerful tool that links information from California Community Colleges, California State Universities, and the University of California system.  It is an excellent resource for researching academic majors and university options.  You are always welcome to drop-in to the Transfer Center to do research and exploration, as well as accessing Assist on your own.
